Fiona & Adam It was a beautiful, sunny day when Fiona & Adam said ‘I do’ in the historic and picturesque Grade I listed Church on Boconnoc Estate. The couple and their closest family and friends arrived the evening before the wedding, to finish dressing their chosen areas and to ensure that all was set. After dining together in the Red Room, they enjoyed a sleepover in the luxury bedrooms before rising to views of, what must surely be, one of the most beautiful gardens in the whole of the United Kingdom. The Boconnoc Estate in the South of England, is well known and highly respected for its collection of pink and purple rhododendrons, azaleas and 34 different varieties of hydrangeas. Giving you the opportunity for a bloomin’ good time from early spring right through to autumn. As the estate deer, over 120 of them in fact, chewed their way through another day’s quota of grass, fruit and twigs, and probably a few hydrangeas, Fiona and Adam married and celebrated their day with their guests. It was a wonderful day. After Church, guests sat in the sun to enjoy bubbles and conversations with long lost family members and newly found friends. A delicious dinner was served in the garden room and dancing, was in full swing in the Red Room. Boconnoc House & Estate certainly has it all, if you are looking for an english country estate with accommodation, exceptional grounds and its very own Church. I have always enjoyed the most wonderful welcome from the Fortescue family and their staff and with ample opportunity to visit during one of their several annual events, or by appointment I highly recommend that you give them a call and arrange to pop in.
